the first thing i said when I saw the new Dalek was they ripped off Rob I even went as far as grabbing one of my friends and making him find the 2003 image and doing a side by side comparison holding his laptop next to my TV. I prefer Robs Daleks they're a little more sleek.

I must admit I was thinking the same and rob's design is better.  i don't like the hunchback. Mind you just think of the panic in the Dalek builders guild trying to work out how to build an entirely new design of dalek; and transporting them would a bugger they're huge.  Undecided

finally wathced victory to the daleks now......bit behind in the states
New Dalek.....i hate them
why do people always have to change things
the 2005 design was great, it looked real, looked metalic and heavy....looked like it could be dangerous
the new ones.......they look like toys...like they are now made of vacuum formed plastic....very bad idea

Someone commented that the operators must be looking through a gap between the gun and manipulator arm... I think they might actually stand when using them. Just a thought...

However, I do think that the original idea has been thrown right out of the window. They were meant to be alien and look like no normal human could get in there. Which is why Ian Chesterton had trouble getting into the Dalek shell and they had to hire really short people like John Scott Martin to drive them...

"The producers always liked the Doctor to be able to look them in the eye"Huh?? BULL!

Here's an update of my model of the new console room. I am particularly happy with the glass floor and the surface on that giant ball thing that's under the console floor.

You know I've been working with CG for a while now having migrated from physical modeling and I like to think I'm doing quite well but every once in a while someone comes along and makes me want to take a fire axe to my base unit.  Roll Eyes

Well done Rob it looks awesome. Shocked
