I thought I'd have a go at putting together a Sontaran Pod after buying the "Bred for War" boxset and realising these foes really are quite overlooked! Anyway.... this is where im at so far:

In classic Who yes the extrusions are diagonal but on the new ships they are regular. This model will be a bridge between the classic and new, also the door opens upwards not the standard way!



I have added support struts to the doors, ideally I would like to have straight support struts leading up from the floors, but don't know how to model it so that they would extend when the door is open but retract when it's close.

So....
I have been on the Sontaran theme for a few days. Now I am rubbish at bipedal modelling but this is looking "ok".
I now need to learn how to rig the creature so I can pose him :p any tips would be great!!
