Power... I have it on good authority that "EVERYONE is doing power..." But hey, I like it a lot. Smiley

Umm yes. EVERYONE Is doing power. I mean EVERYONE.

I know of three 2D versions going on at the moment, and I am doing a 3D version, as well as, including you 2 people here are working on it.

I am fairly certain at least one other person is doing it in 3D, but using vector style graphics.

And yes, I like it a lot too. I think we should organize our efforts. At the moment, apart from everything I am doing I am playing around with doing the Governor.

I've done a bit more work on this image, but not rendered yet... it takes a while (nearly an hour...) so next time there will be more work done on it still...

Looking good.  Smiley

Starting to really capture the Vulcan landscape.

I downloaded Bryce a few weeks ago for precisely the same reason as you but I haven't tried using it yet.  Can you
export the landscape and render it in other programs.  I only ask this as I'm interested to know how one would animate
characters over it.

It exports to OBJ... that much I know... I have also tried DXF from Maya to import  my as yet untextured TARDIS.

um.. in Australia you can use "he" to describe something, on the proviso you end the sentence with mate, pronounced mayte.

For example

"He's looking good mate"

or

"He's broken mate"

Looking good by the way....

LOL, I thought it was "she" like people do with cars and boats and planes... Smiley

Cheers Smiley

PS: in a bizarre twist to this thead, in Finnish you can refer to people as "it" Cheesy

Your right that is weird. The "he" thing, I think is a thing people who are Greek say a lot, and the rest of us have just picked up on.

any updates and the vulcan planet surface concpts

heres two examples

of how vast the   quicksilver lakes should be

http://www.aboveallohio.com/images/stock/big/Great_Lakes_shipping_freighter_aerial.jpg

http://www.aboveallohio.com/images/stock/big/North_Bass_Island_aerial_picture.jpg

note : see the scale

BTW   mark your renders of the vulcan surface remind me of my trip to bar harbour -  Maine

this past  summer though those or you whom live near   lochness or  any other remote  area's are probably use to these regions.

what am I saying lol.......... doctor who always filmed in remote scarely inhabited areas like moors forests and rolling hills

something which the new series lacks

note this current A sever storm warning and tornado watch in my area in effect till 9 or 10 tonight so if the power goes out I wont be able to post till it goes back on  though PEPCO is usually fast.

cheers  ,
